GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Rotherham (S61). As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse learning and emotional needs of pupils. Create a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes trust and respect. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, and external professionals to implement tailored learning plans. Encourage pupils to develop confidence, self-regulation, and positive social skills. Manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively, following school policies. Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to support academic and personal growth. Requirements for SEMH Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification. Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs. A compassionate, adaptable, and proactive approach to teaching and behaviour support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
