Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial data entry, processing, reporting and all aspects of daily, monthly and end of year accounting.

Responsibilities
· Manage and maintain Creditor and Supplier ledger. Perform accurate data entry tasks related to invoices, payments, and other financial documents.
· Manage and Maintain Debtor Credit Accounts and Sales Ledger transactions. Perform accurate data entry tasks related to invoices, payments, and other financial documents.
· Manage bank transactions, payments to UK and foreign currency transactions and bank reconciliations.
· Reconcile accounts and assist in month-end closing activities.
· Prepare and Produce Monthly reports for the Management team to support production of management accounts.
· Arranging foreign currency trades as required
· Utilise Sage and bespoke ERP software such to record financial data.
· Payroll and Pension for up to 20 people.
· Petty Cash.
· Project Costings.
· VAT returns, generate and submit in line with HMRC Guidelines.
· Support the finance team with administrative duties related to financial reporting and record keeping.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
· Assist with ad hoc financial tasks as required by the department.
Experience
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· AAT qualified (Level 3 and above) or equivalent.
· Confidence and experience to contribute new ideas towards company growth.
· Disciplined approach to meet deadlines and ownership of tasks.
· At least 5 years' experience in accounting.
· Experience in the whole range of accounting functions.
· Ability to multitask and solve problems.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a friendly supportive team
· Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and Sage 50 Accounts.
· Experience working with multiple accounting platforms will be considered an advantage.
· Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
