Community Outreach Officer\n Across Manchester, Salford & Trafford\n Up to £28,420\n Full Time, Temporary (6-12 weeks)\n The Role:\n We are recruiting for a Community Outreach Officer who will engage with local communities to identify people who need help overcoming barriers which may prevent them from gaining work or pursuing their ambitions.\n \n Duties:\n\nYou will work within the community to promote the service to customers from all backgrounds including those speaking community languages (Urdu, Arabic, Bengali, Gujarati, Somali or Tigrinya).\nYou will support customers to understand the benefits of the programme which will help to increase their confidence and overcome their personal barriers to life, learning and employment. \nYou will signpost interested customers up to the programme and arrange for a meeting with their key worker who will then provide 121 support.\n Required Skills:\n\nYou will have strong verbal and written communication and ideally you will speak additional languages.\nWe will have a good understanding of the Salford, Manchester and Trafford regions, able to build rapport with local residents and be able to empathise with their individual circumstances.\nYou will need to travel across Manchester, Salford and Trafford regions, so you will either be a car driver or happy to use public transport.\nWe actively encourage individuals with diverse abilities and perspectives, particularly those with disabilities and from ethnic communities, to apply for this roleIf this sounds like the perfect role for you then please submit your CV.\n \n This vacancy is being handled by Aspire Recruitment.
