Here at Sheffield Hallam University The role of Director of Operational Improvement is a new role, designed to lead the University's Operational Improvement Programme, taking the Programme through from its current mobilisation stage to full implementation and benefits realisation.
The role will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Interim Director of Strategy and Transformation, as well as other key roles within the Executive Group including the Chief Finance Officer and Executive Deans of College. The role holder will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and undertake matrix-management for the programme team as required.
We are looking for someone with significant senior leadership experience, with the ability to lead a large and high-profile programme through a period of complex change. You will have the expertise to identify and drive large and complex transformational change programmes to successful implementation and deliver improved efficiency and productivity.
As a potential candidate, you will be a highly collaborative leader with strong emotional intelligence, and a passion for supporting lasting cultural change. You will have significant experience working with groups of stakeholders from different backgrounds and an ability to engage and form alliances, as well as the confidence to challenge in line with our values, where needed.
