About the role We are seeking a reliable and proactive part-time Cleaner Porter to join our friendly Campus Services team within Cleaning and Portering. This role offers a varied workload, and a typical day may include: Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within designated areas Emptying general waste and recycling bins Assisting with the movement of furniture, equipment, and deliveries Supporting room setups for events, meetings, and teaching activities Responding to reactive requests from building users and facilities teams Ensuring the safe handling and storage of materials and supplies Providing a visible, helpful, and approachable presence for students, staff, and visitors Please note, this role involves regular lifting and carrying. The typical working hours for this position are 5:00am – 9:00am, Monday to Friday, with weekend working on alternate weeks. About you This is a key role at the University of Bath, and we are seeking a professional who is reliable, motivated, and approachable. You’ll maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment, while working independently or collaboratively with a supportive team.
