We are currently looking to appoint a Clinical Administration Officer (CAO) to work in the Surgical Division working 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
The main emphasis of this role is to provide a range of administrative support to Consultants, medical staff and/or other senior members of the Divisional teams. This is achieved by operating relevant IT applications as required, ensuring targets are met and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Audio typing
Receiving patient queries and actioning appropriately
Booking relevant appointments
Actioning complex instructions from clinical staff and/or other designated senior staff as appropriate
Qualifications
The successful candidate must be customer focused, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and keen attention to detail for ensuring data is recorded accurately.
Requirements:
English and Maths GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
Excellent IT skills and relevant office/secretarial experience
Desirable:
Knowledge of medical terminology
Customer care experience
Previous NHS experience
