We are recruiting for an experienced Installation Manager to oversee the safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of commercial window, door, curtain walling, and façade installation works across projects in the South Wales region. This is a site-based role focused on ensuring installation works are delivered correctly first time, in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements. The role plays a key part in maintaining quality assurance, site safety, and subcontractor performance, ensuring all works are fully compliant before progression and commercial approval. You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, providing strong on-site control and installation oversight. Key responsibilities Site installation management Oversee day-to-day installation activities on commercial glazing and façade projects Coordinate subcontract installation teams on site Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements Support sequencing of works to maintain progress on site Quality assurance (QA) Carry out regular site inspections of installation works Ensure subcontractors complete required QA/inspection documentation Verify works against approved drawings and specifications Support a right-first-time approach and reduce rework and defects Health & safety compliance Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with CDM Regulations Review RAMS and ensure compliance on site Conduct site safety checks and report issues Ensure safe working practices are followed at all times Subcontractor coordination Manage and support subcontract installation teams on site Monitor progress, quality, and performance Address issues with workmanship or conduct on site Escalate recurring problems to senior management Reporting and site records Maintain accurate site records including progress updates and QA checks Report on installation progress, issues, and risks Support project reporting requirements for the delivery team Key requirements Experience in commercial glazing, curtain walling, windows, doors, or façade installation Strong site-based background within construction or specialist subcontracting Good understanding of installation sequencing and site coordination Knowledge of basic QA processes and inspection procedures Strong awareness of site health and safety requirements Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain site standards Desirable SMSTS or SSSTS CSCS Card (Supervisor or Manager level) IPAF and/or PASMA Experience working with aluminium systems (Schüco, Reynaers, AluK, Technal) What success looks like Safe and well-managed installation sites Consistent delivery of works in line with the programme Reduced defects and rework through strong QA control Effective subcontractor coordination and performance management High standards of workmanship and site compliance Summary This is a site-based Installation Manager role at a specialist glazing and façade contractor, responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of installations across commercial projects in the Cardiff region.
