We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join our team working within alternative provision settings. This role is ideal for individuals who are resilient, patient, and committed to supporting pupils who may face social, emotional, behavioural, or additional learning needs. About the role: Supporting children and young people with complex and persistent SEMH and/or SEND needs, helping them build resilience, regain confidence and develop essential life skills. Working closely with carers, parents and professionals, you will work across multiple sites to create a safe and transformative learning space where young people can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We’re looking for someone who: Has experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, or similar) Is calm, empathetic, and confident in managing challenging behaviour Is comfortable working outside, in workshops and on farm sites. Understands SEND, SEMH, trauma-informed practice, or alternative education Is reliable, adaptable, and committed to safeguarding and inclusion Holds relevant qualifications or is willing to work towards them (desirable, not essential) Drives, has access to a vehicle and is happy to travel between sites.
