Role Overview
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the National Curriculum requirements for Year 3 across core subjects and foundation areas.
* Use a range of teaching strategies to support all learners, including differentiation and targeted interventions.
* Promote positive behaviour and a respectful classroom atmosphere that encourages motivation and independence.
* Assess pupil progress regularly and use data to inform teaching and provide constructive feedback.
* Develop strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
* Participate actively in school initiatives, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
* Foster an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and supports all pupils’ individual needs and talents.
Person Specification
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with proven experience teaching Key Stage 2, preferably Year 3.
* Strong understanding of child development and learning needs for 7-8-year-olds.
* Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage children with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
* Committed to promoting safeguarding, inclusion, and collaboration within the school community.
* A reflective practitioner passionate about continuous professional growth.
