Consultant Clinical Oncologist (Urology and Testes)
Consultant
Job overview
The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust hosts a leading regional Cancer Centre and is seeking a well‑organised Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a specialist interest in Urology and Testes to join the team.
Our Cancer Centre provides specialist cancer and haemato‑oncological care, including complex cancer surgery, to a population of approximately 1.4 million people across South West Surrey and Hampshire. Non‑surgical oncological treatments are delivered at the Cancer Centre, which is an integral part of the Trust.
The Centre has recently undergone significant refurbishment, offering a modern, welcoming environment for both patients and staff. It works collaboratively with the Surrey Clinical Research Facility, and will support medical students from the UoS Medical School.
The Cancer Centre is committed to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care in a professional and compassionate setting. Its services have received national recognition, and patients benefit from access to advanced and innovative treatments.
The Centre also provides a comprehensive diagnostic nuclear medicine service for adult and paediatric patients, alongside a full Molecular Radiotherapy service, including I-131 treatment for both benign and malignant thyroid conditions.
Our collaboration with Genesis Care offers additional opportunities for Clinical Oncologists, including access to MR Linac technology for both NHS and private patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide expertise in the management and treatment of patients with urological & testicular tumours. This includes offering Chemotherapy, systemic therapy, and Radiotherapy (including Stereotactic). This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic team providing exceptional cancer care in a modern, state‑of‑the‑art facility.
We value the expertise of our skilled staff, and will support your professional development through dedicated SPA time, pursuing CPD opportunities and encouraging participation in clinical research. We aim to provide a supportive and collegiate working environment, where teams and individuals alike can reach their full potential.
