My client is an established firm in the specialist spray booth sector seeking a skilled individual to repair, service, and maintain their spray booths across various sites within a localised area. Full training will be provided, so machinery-specific experience is not essential.
The ideal candidate location is within Greater Manchester.
Other job titles could include Service Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Maintenance, Multi-skilled Engineer, Electrical Technician, Service Engineer, Industrial Electrician, or Maintenance Electrician.
Role of Field Service Engineer:
* Service and maintain a range of state-of-the-art spray booths.
* Perform routine maintenance.
* Carry out testing – including LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation), BAT (Breathing Air Test), & ACT (Air Clearance Test).
* Electrical servicing and repairs.
* Work with an engineer's mate to assist with manual handling.
* Mechanical servicing and repairs on drives, belts, motors, shafts, and bearings.
* Input and extract filter replacements.
* Fault finding and diagnostics.
* Equipment retrofits and upgrades.
* Ensure all works comply with current health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Be flexible with overnight stays when required.
Experience Required for Field Service Engineer:
* Experience in repairing, servicing, or maintaining industrial manufacturing machinery or commercial plant equipment.
* Previous industries could include Automation, Food, Plant, FMCG, Industrial, or Commercial Facilities.
* Hold a valid Electrical Qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or HNC/HND.
* Fault-finding experience with single or 3-phase motors.
* Mechanical hands-on experience working with belts, shafts, bearings, motors, or drives.
* Reside in or near Greater Manchester.
* Willing to stay away for training within the first 2 months.
* Good communication skills with a range of individuals, from customers to site operatives.
* Full clean UK Driving Licence.
Salary and Package:
* Salary up to £41,600 per annum (£18-£20 per hour).
* Door-to-door travel and overtime (OTE £48k).
* 40-hour workweek with regular overtime.
* Company van and fuel card provided.
* 31 days holiday (including statutory bank holidays).
* Saturday overtime at 1.20x rate (planned in advance, 1 in 4 weekends).
* Bonus per retrofit or equipment upgrade sold.
* Continuous training and development, including Gas Safe, PASMA, IPAF, Harness Awareness, P601.
