Description
As a HSEQ Advisor, you will be part of a central HSEQ Team with responsibility for one of our regional contracts, reporting to the Senior HSEQ Advisor.
Department: SSE
Location: Chippenham
Compensation: £35,000 - £45,000 / year
Responsibilities
* Ensure safety and compliance standards are maintained; address issues promptly.
* Conduct verification inspections and follow up on findings.
* Support accident and incident investigations, promote reporting, and ensure closure.
* Encourage reporting of unsafe acts/conditions and positive interventions.
* Prepare weekly and monthly reports on safety achievements and issues.
* Coordinate corrective actions with the Compliance Department and auditors.
* Compile accident/incident statistics and attend client meetings.
* Work with the operational team to improve processes and relationships.
* Promote safe behaviors on-site and in the office.
* Support training and competency requirements, ensuring high standards of compliance.
* Assist with standards and accreditations, including ISO standards.
* Support the delivery of contract milestones and strategies.
* Continuously learn about the company’s products/services.
Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
* H&S qualification, e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
* Experience in Utilities or Construction sectors (desirable).
* Full UK Driving License.
