We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, and proactive individuals to take on the role of Casual Residential Child Care Worker across our Children’s Homes in Rochdale.
We ask that you have a positive attitude, and the ability to be adaptable and flexible. The role can be challenging at times, but equally rewarding.
Our children and young people need the very best care, love, nurture, and guidance to help them work through early life experiences and develop the skills, abilities, and resilience for their present and future lives.
They need committed individuals who are willing to go above and beyond to help them succeed and access opportunities, experiences, and life chances similar to other children.
Our model of care and practice is based on DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) and PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy). All workers complete the Therapeutic Parenting with PACE training course.
We seek someone who will be a positive role model and who is committed to safeguarding children and young people, promoting their physical and emotional health and wellbeing.
You must be over 21 years of age, have at least 1 year’s experience working with children and young people in a paid or voluntary capacity, and hold an NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children and Young People or equivalent.
In accordance with Section 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, this post requires the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
This is a casual position working days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
Casual User Car Allowance is payable.
Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check, including a barred list check against the child workforce.
