Position Title: SHE Manager (Safety, Health & Environment)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned SHE Manager to oversee the implementation and management of Safety, Health, and Environmental strategies for an offshore renewable wind farm project. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in UK HSE regulations, possess offshore operational experience, including helicopter and helideck safety, and demonstrate strong stakeholder management and customs compliance knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the SHE functions for the offshore wind project across all phases—from pre-construction through commissioning and operations.
* Ensure full compliance with UK HSE legislation (e.g. HSWA, PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, CDM Regulations) and relevant offshore marine safety directives.
* Manage helicopter and helideck safety procedures, ensuring aviation-related offshore transfers meet CAP 437 and other relevant safety standards.
* Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations; drive continual SHE performance improvement.
* Serve as the main SHE interfaces with the client, representing the project team during audits, inspections, and SHE performance meetings.
* Oversee customs and logistics compliance for offshore transport and vessel mobilization, in collaboration with the logistics/supply chain teams.
* Promote a proactive HSE culture through training, toolbox talks, campaigns, and visible safety leadership both onshore and offshore.
* Liaise with contractors, marine coordination teams, and project engineers to ensure SHE standards are embedded in all offshore operations.
* Coordinate emergency response planning and offshore medevac procedures.
* Provide accurate SHE reports and data analysis to project leadership and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* Minimum 7–10 years of SHE experiences in offshore wind, oil & gas, or marine infrastructure projects.
* In-depth knowledge of UK HSE regulations and offshore safety requirements.
* Strong experience in helicopter and helideck safety operations (including CAP 437 compliance).
* Proven track record of successful client interfacing and regulatory liaison.
* Experience handling customs clearance, vessel import/export documentation, and offshore logistics protocols.
* Offshore survival and medical certifications (e.g. BOSIET/FOET, OGUK Medical).
* NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent); IOSH or IEMA membership preferred.
* Confident communicator with excellent leadership, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in offshore renewable energy, particularly in the UK and EU sectors.
* Previous roles involving international logistics, vessel mobilization, and marine coordination.
* Familiarity with GWO (Global Wind Organization) safety standards.
