Graduate Quantity Surveyor – 2026 - Hertfordshire

Over two years, as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor with Cementation, you’ll be involved in the full life cycle of piling and foundation projects—from tendering to site delivery. You’ll develop your quantity surveying skills with hands-on experience, mentoring, and access to innovative digital tools, developing your geotechnical knowledge whilst experiencing civil engineering projects.

What you'll do:
1. Help minimise the costs of a project to ensure profitability and risk mitigation
2. Build relationships and negotiate with trade contractors and client representatives
3. Support the preparation and completion of site measurement and records, day work sheets, labour and plant returns
4. Procure trade contract packages, including completing detailed tender analysis and preparation of tender and contract documents
5. Assist with the procurement of sub-contract packages
6. Work within the projects commercial team and have responsibility in measuring and quantifying works for cost plan validation, completing interim and final account valuations
7. Prepare contractual documents including preparing scopes and sub-contract warranties
8. Other commercial tasks depending on project needs
What you'll bring to the role:
9. Studying towards (in your final year) or having completed a Quantity Surveying degree accredited by the RICS. We will consider applications from other commercially focused or construction qualification backgrounds.

14. We would expect you to have a driving licence or work towards obtaining one within your first year or working with us
