About the Role You will be responsible for the entire H&S function, having a small team of three reporting into you. It is therefore essential you demonstrate an excellent competency level within your profession, with minimal support. We are a business experiencing ongoing change, including further automation projects, with the HSE manager involved in these to ensure they are delivered safely. Key Duties Include: Continual development of Health & Safety Management System Development and administration of Health and Safety Programme Manage and support the internal and external audit programme. Provide guidance on H&S legislation The review of current Risk Assessments Creating and publishing of Risk Assessments Capture data relating to Health & Safety and presenting to the board of directors In charge of conducting and co-ordinating Health & Safety Committee Creating and publishing Safe Systems of Work Raising all Permits to Work and associated documentation for outside contractors Liaising with outside Contractors Along with other team members, conducting Health and Safety Inductions and Manual Handling training for new members of staff. Carrying out Workplace Inspections and compiling reports Carrying out investigations into workplace accidents Managing and controlling all H&S Projects and providing updates as and when required to the senior management Required Skills and Experience Managing compliance in multi-site environment Experience within Food Manufacturing (although not essential) Advantageous to have good knowledge or understanding of the following area: Fire, legionella, radiation, electrical, MHE Ideally knowledge and experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Full Driving Licence, as you will be expected to travel between sites Personal Attributes: Dedicated to achieving excellence and delivering results.
