Role Responsibilities
To autonomously manage, coordinate, and direct all activities associated with the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Service (Pacemakers, Implantable cardioverter defibrillators, Cardiac resynchronisation Therapy devices, and Implantable loop recorders) in Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. The post involves responsibility for the specialised cardiac physiologists within the CRM service, developing patient pathways and protocols for service delivery.
The post holder will deliver a high-quality, safe, and effective device service, working with stakeholders to achieve cost-effective procurement across the CRM budget. The role requires an experienced, knowledgeable cardiac physiologist working independently to directly deliver patient care and well-being.
Your time will be split between delivering high-quality testing, contributing to diagnostic performance targets, and providing expert-level teaching, supervision, management, and mentorship for those training in CRM. You will participate in the development of the role of specialised cardiac physiologists within the Modernising Scientific Framework.
