The Logistics Director will be based in Glasgow, working for a business, who are recognised for delivering excellence within their respective field. They are a well known brand and a market leader within their respective industry. As the Logistics Director, based in Glasgow, you will oversee a growing network of depots across the UK and be responsible for a large fleet of final mile vehicles. My client is seeking a strategic and hands-on Logistics Director to lead a large team and optimise processes and performance across their national operations. The Role: As the Logistics Director, based in Glasgow you will take full P&L ownership of multi-site logistics operations across the UK. You will be responsible for overseeing depot performance, ensuring operational excellence, and managing a substantial fleet to support efficient, timely, and cost-effective service delivery. This is a senior logistics leadership role with full P&L accountability, requires strong commercial acumen, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive performance in a high-volume, high-pressure environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational leadership across all UK depots. Oversee the performance and compliance of a large vehicle fleet. Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, cost control, and service delivery. Lead, motivate, and develop depot and fleet management teams. Ensure full compliance with health & safety, transport regulations, and company policies. Deliver and exceed KPIs related to delivery, cost, service levels, and safety. Develop and manage the annual logistics budget, ensuring P&L targets are met. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align logistics with wider business goals. Implement and champion best-in-class logistics and fleet management systems. About You: Proven experience in a senior logistics leadership role, ideally at Director level. Strong background in multi-site operations and large fleet management. Demonstrable P&L responsibility and commercial acumen. A strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
