Property Litigation Solicitor
Contract: 12 months Fixed Term Contract
WFH: 3 days working from home, subject to the company’s agile working policy
Location: London
Reporting to: Director of Legal and Head of Litigation
Direct Reports: N/A
Job purpose:
To provide legal support within the litigation team of a leading Asset Manager, focusing on dispute resolution, litigation, and risk minimization. Knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and related regulations is essential.
Key responsibilities:
1. Liaise with senior management and external counsel, managing case loads of property litigation matters from pre-litigation to trial.
2. Handle ad-hoc building safety and property litigation issues.
3. Monitor external legal costs and liaise with external solicitors and counsel.
4. Advise internal clients on property legislation and compliance.
5. Maintain case files, records, and legal activity reports.
6. Manage deadlines and protect company interests.
7. Draft and review legal documents and agreements.
Skills and qualifications:
1. Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales with current Practising Certificate.
2. Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
3. Experience with the Building Safety Act 2022 and residential long leasehold properties.
4. Strong attention to detail, integrity, and reliability.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent drafting and communication skills.
7. Experience with advocacy, conveyancing, property transactions, and GDPR legislation.
