About the role
Position: COM BSS Architect
Location: Newbury (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months Contract
Rate: £350/day Outside IR35
We are seeking an experienced BSS Architect with expertise in Customer Order Management (COM) for a hybrid role requiring 2–3 days per week on-site at the Newbury office. Immediate start preferred in April - May 2025.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in BSS technologies and a proven track record of integrating these systems within complex enterprise telecom environments.
Key Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience with BSS and Customer Order Management (COM) systems in telecom environments, understanding end-to-end order workflows including entry, tracking, fulfilment, and post-delivery support.
* Ability to design and optimize COM processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enable automation, including decommissioning legacy systems.
* Strong expertise in integrating COM with broader BSS platforms, including CRM, OSS, billing, provisioning, and inventory systems, ensuring seamless data and process flow.
* Proficiency in API integrations, cloud-based order management solutions, and workflow orchestration tools such as Camunda.
* Solid knowledge of telecom frameworks like eTOM and TM Forum, with experience across enterprise Fixed Line, UC, GSIP, and SD-WAN products.
* Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to align technical solutions with business goals and deliver efficient customer order management.
