Management Accountant
Location: South Liverpool
Salary: £45,000-£50,000 + bonus

The Role
You'll take full responsibility for the month-end process, deliver clear and insightful reporting, and play a key role in strengthening financial control across the organisation. This is a hands-on role where your ideas will be welcomed and where you'll have regular exposure to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Month-End & Management Reporting
Lead the month-end close process to deadline.
Produce the full management accounts pack, including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and KPIs.
Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations.
Compare budgets/forecasts to actuals, investigate variances, and deliver clear commentary.
Partner with cost centre managers to ensure accurate monthly costings, strong budget discipline, and aligned decision-making.
Provide practical, commercially focused insights to non-finance teams.
Payroll, Compliance & Statutory
Support monthly payroll preparation and balance reviews.
Assist with external audit preparation and schedules.
Prepare VAT
Manage and account for FX transactions.
Process & System Improvement
Identify and implement improvements across reporting, controls, systems, and processes.
Streamline and optimise the month-end cycle.
Use Excel and finance systems to enhance automation and reporting quality.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Fully qualified (ACCA / ACA / CIMA).
Strong grounding in management accounting and financial reporting.
Excellent Excel and general systems capability.
Confident communicator able to engage effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
Proactive mindset with a passion for improving how finance operates.
Desirable
Experience with NetSuite (advantageous but not required).
Exposure to multi-entity environments.
Understanding of VAT
