Pobl Group is seeking a Floating Support Worker for its Mental Health Floating Support Service in Ceredigion. This is a full-time, permanent role.
Job Details
* Full Time – 37 hours
* Permanent Contract
* Salary: £24,531.00
* Work Pattern: Monday - Friday
* Full drivers licence and access to a vehicle are essential
Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload and travel to service users’ homes
* Engage with individuals to establish goals, write up support plans and risk assessments
* Provide advice on finances, health, welfare benefits, housing options and tenancy management skills
* Support with housing issues such as rent arrears and applying for grants for white goods
* Collaborate with external agencies, especially Housing Options in Ceredigion, and signpost services to meet needs
* Assist with group activities, such as cooking on a budget
* Support clients to attend appointments (e.g., GP) and accompany when needed
What we are looking for
* Good organisation, IT and record-keeping skills
* Ability to work as part of a team and on an individual basis
* Resilience to deal with difficult situations and good listening skills
* Knowledge and experience of working with individuals with mental health needs
* Knowledge and experience of homelessness, housing & tenancy issues
* Knowledge and experience of partnership working
* Full driving licence and ability to use a car for work
* A willingness to learn; previous experience is not essential
