Overview
We are seeking reliable and dedicated Cleaners to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in healthcare settings such as homes, and assisted living homes. Your work will directly contribute to the well-being of clients and staff by helping prevent the spread of infection and creating a safe atmosphere for care delivery.
Responsibilities
* Perform daily cleaning tasks including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and surface disinfection in patient rooms, bathrooms, communal areas.
* Follow strict infection control procedures and health & safety guidelines.
* Safely handle and dispose of clinical waste and hazardous materials according to policy.
* Replenish supplies such as soap, hand sanitizers, toilet paper, and paper towels.
* Report any maintenance issues, damage, or health hazards to the appropriate personnel.
* Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and efficiently, in line with training provided.
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently maintained throughout the facility.
* Support a respectful and professional environment for patients, residents, and staff.
Qualifications
* Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare, commercial, or similar environment is preferred.
* Understanding of infection control procedures is desirable (training will be provided).
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
* Physical stamina to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-oriented attitude.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
