In this important advisory role, you’ll impact the business by driving all aspects of trade compliance to meet UK, US, German, and other foreign regulatory requirements.
Our Opportunity:
This is a great opportunity for an experienced export control candidate, ideally with experience within the defence, military, or highly regulated industry. The key purpose of the role is to assist in the promotion and implementation of import/export compliance within the UK, US, Germany, and others, in accordance with all applicable laws & regulations, The Business Group Policy, and The Business UK Export Compliance Programme.
Key responsibilities:
* Advise relevant stakeholders on trade compliance requirements for exports.
* Review and approve trade compliance documentation such as CECCs, End User Statements, DSP5s, supplier licenses, TAAs, MLAs, Sales Orders/Contracts, Purchase Orders, Subcontracts, and Purchase Agreements to ensure compliance requirements are met.
* Liaise with internal functions to ensure correct implementation of US export legislation, including guidance for Technology Control Plans, US export approvals, and re-transfer authorisations.
* Perform checks for ITAR material (US suppliers) and DSPs.

* Strong knowledge and experience with UK and US export regulations (ITAR and EAR).
* A proactive, 'can do' attitude.
* Good commercial awareness.
* Effective time management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
Note: Recognising the restricted nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance.
