A well-regarded and community-focused housing provider in North Yorkshire is seeking an experienced and proactive Building Surveyor to join their Property Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a varied and rural housing portfolio, covering areas such as Northallerton, Hambleton, Richmondshire, and surrounding communities.
The Role:
As a Building Surveyor, you'll be responsible for delivering a wide range of surveying services, including property inspections, defect diagnosis, project management, and contract administration. You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving the quality of homes for residents across the region.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct building condition surveys and prepare detailed reports.
Diagnose structural and maintenance issues and recommend solutions.
Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation.
Oversee contractors and ensure works are delivered to quality, time, and budget standards.
Support planned investment programmes and compliance with housing standards.What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in building surveying, ideally within social housing or residential property.
HNC/HND or degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of building pathology, construction methods, and relevant legislation.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Full UK driving licence (essential due to rural travel).What's On Offer:
