Were excited to offer a fantastic new opportunity to join our growing IT Security team as a Security Analyst on a permanent basis. This is a key role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure and ensuring the security of systems, networks, and data both in the cloud and on-premises.
As an IT Security Analyst, youll play a vital part in monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing our security controls, identifying potential risks, and responding to incidents. Youll be hands-on with a variety of tools and technologies and have a real impact on strengthening our overall security posture.
What youll be doing:
1. Monitoring systems, networks, and user activity to detect suspicious behaviour or policy violations
2. Investigating and managing security incidents, including root cause analysis and reporting
3. Deploying, configuring, and maintaining key security platforms used by the analyst team
4. Conducting vulnerability assessments and coordinating remediation activities
5. Supporting patch management across IT through tooling and reporting
6. Performing regular security control reviews and health checks
7. Creating and enhancing measures to demonstrate effectiveness and coverage of security controls
8. Assisting with internal and external security assessments and audits
9. Continuously updating incident response plans, procedures, and playbooks
10. Providing 3rd line support to colleagues across IT and the wider business
Technical Skills
Experience with the following technologies and skills is beneficial:
11. SIEM and SOAR platforms
12. Log analytics, rule creation and tuning, threat hunting
13. Dashboards and visualisation
14. Firewalls (CheckPoint, VMware NSX)
15. Windows Server and Desktop
16. XDR solutions tuning and alert investigation
17. Azure and M security configuration and alert investigation
18. Security Frameworks NIST or similar
19. Incident Response Root cause analysis and remediation coordination
Experience & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in roles such as:
20. IT Security Analyst
21. SOC Analyst
22. Digital Forensics Specialist
23. Senior Network Administrator or Network Engineer
Relevant qualifications/certifications such as:
24. CISSP
25. COMPTIA Security+
26. Degree in IT Security, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, or related discipline
27. IT Security Architecture certifications (desirable)

30. Excellent data analysis skills utilising large data sets
31. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when translating technical issues for non-technical audiences
