Location
You will be based at our Head Office in Derby (DE21), working on-site Monday to Friday. Some occasional travel may be required to transport stock, access storage units, or deliver equipment and supplies to client locations (travel expenses covered and vehicle available for use).
Contract
* Full Time, Permanent (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday)
* 28 days Annual Leave (including Bank Holidays)
* Full, clean UK driving licence required
About the Role
As Operations Supervisor, you'll be responsible for coordinating and supervising the practical day-to-day running of our vehicles, buildings and warehouse operations. You'll ensure everything is safe, well-maintained and working efficiently to support the wider team.
You will:
* Oversee vehicle compliance, servicing and upkeep
* Support building maintenance, safety and upkeep
* Organise and supervise warehouse and stock operations
* Carry out minor repairs, manage supplies and scheduled cleaning tasks
* Uphold Health & Safety standards across premises and operations
* Liaise with other teams to keep everything running smoothly
This is a practical, varied role requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a clear, methodical approach.
What We Are Looking For
We're looking for someone dependable, adaptable, and comfortable getting involved with a wide range of tasks. You'll need to be organised, proactive, and confident working with systems and schedules to keep things on track.
You must have:
* Proven experience overseeing fleet operations, including scheduling servicing, coordinating inspections, and ensuring compliance with legal and safety requirements
* Experience in facilities, warehousing, or operational support
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Understanding of Health & Safety and environmental standards
* Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate records
* A practical, solutions-focused approach to work
Requirements
* GCSE English and Maths (Grade C / 4 or above)
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* Experience managing a fleet of vehicles and / or vehicle mechanic
* Experience in facilities, warehousing or logistics
* Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH or similar) preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
Salary
£26,000 - £29,000 per annum

Due to the nature of this role and our sustainability targets, candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office location. This ensures travel remains manageable from home, supports occasional early or late access to the office in line with keyholder responsibilities, and helps to reduce environmental impact.
