With ambitious growth plans, we are expanding our Clinical team to extend our first-class support to more patients, providing them with the tools they need to live life to the fullest. As a Pharmacist with Curaleaf, you will play a key role in enabling patients to achieve their optimum level of health and independence, while consistently delivering an exemplary standard of care.
This is a full-time Sunderland-based role and will require site presence 2-3 days per week.
About the Role
In this role, you will support patients throughout their Curaleaf journey, from initial enquiry through to ongoing evaluation and management of their treatment. You will conduct telephone and online health screenings to assess patient suitability and ensure treatment plans are delivered safely and effectively, in line with clinical protocols and organisational policies.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
* Delivering an effective, patient-focused clinical service
* Evaluating, organising, and prioritising workload effectively
* Advising and supporting a defined caseload, while providing guidance to colleagues when required
* Managing patient follow-ups and resolving issues in a proactive, professional manner, using escalation processes where appropriate
* Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records
* Attending and contributing to Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings
* Providing patients and carers with clear, accessible written information regarding their treatment
* Offering clinical advice to healthcare professionals on the management of patients using cannabis-based medicinal treatments
* Supporting pain management audits, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects
About You
As an innovative and progressive organisation, we are looking for a Pharmacist who shares our commitment to delivering outstanding patient care and experience. You will be highly organised, detail-focused, and able to work effectively in a dynamic and evolving clinical environment.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Be a GPhC Registered Prescribing Pharmacist (IP)
* Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and patient care skills
* Have a genuine interest in cannabis treatment assessment, management, and evaluation
* Be able to coordinate and deliver programmes of care
* Be adaptable and open to implementing improved ways of working
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging treatments and clinical developments
It would be beneficial if you have:
* Post-registration experience within a clinical setting
* Experience with research and audit processes, SOP development, and clinical protocols
* Previous exposure to cannabis-based medicinal treatments
