You will be working with a well-established delivery organisation operating within the UK water sector, supporting a long-term, regulated programme of infrastructure works. The business delivers a wide range of water and wastewater projects and offers a stable pipeline of work within a collaborativemercial and engineering environment.
Your new role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting themercial delivery of water sector projects, with a strong emphasis on civil works. In addition to traditional estimating responsibilities, you will be involved in cost planning and options pricing, supporting early-stage project development and helping shapemercial decision-making.
The role is based in Brighton and is offered on an inside IR35 basis, with a contract duration of 9 months+.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Producing accurate cost estimates for water and wastewater projects.
2. Developing cost plans and options pricing to support feasibility studies and early design stages
3. Reviewing drawings, specifications, and evolving scopes of work
4. Building detailed cost breakdowns, allowances, and risk assessments
5. Working collaboratively with engineering,mercial, and delivery teams
6. Supporting framework pricing activities and tender submissions
What you'll need to succeed
7. Proven experience working as an Estimator within the UK water sector
8. Confidence in cost planning and options pricing, particularly at early project stages
9. Experience working on regulated utility or framework-based projects
10. A solid understanding of estimating methodology, cost build-ups, andmercial risk
11. The ability to work on an inside IR35 contract
12. NEC contract knowledge
