Working Full time: 40 hours per week An opportunity has arisen within The Countess of Chester Hospital Foundation Trust for a full time Trust Specialty Registrar ST3. The successful candidate will participate in the General Medicine Registrar on-call rota. Specialty allocation will be dependent on service needs. Employed on Local Terms and Conditions that mirror 2016 Junior Doctor Contract. Main Duties And Responsibilities Assessment of new patients Clerk admissions & to be involved in the day-to-day care of in-patients on allocated ward Plan maintenance medical treatment and appropriate outpatient investigations Attendance on ward rounds and on occasion medical opinions provided for other specialities. Discharge summaries will be completed in conjunction with other colleagues Provide senior support to junior members of the team The post-holder will be expected to assist with any other aspects of patient care as appropriate. The post is primarily based at the Countess of Chester Hospital however the post holder may on occasion be requested to work at Ellesmere Port Hospital. Clinic attendance as directed On-call Arrangements- The post-holder will provide middle grade cover at the Countess of Chester Hospital site on a full shift rota. Current rota is a 1 in 11 including night and weekend shifts. All patients are seen either in the Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care Unit or Acute Medical Unit (AMU), with triage to the Coronary Care Unit or the Respiratory Support Unit. The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Trust works collaboratively within the wider Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Its services are provided from three locations: The Countess of Chester Hospital: providing 438 general and acute beds Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
