We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Radiographer to join our diagnostic imaging team at our Portsmouth Surgical Centre. In this role, you’ll deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused radiographic services, working both independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining exceptional clinical standards while contributing to a culture aligned with our Access to Excellence values.
Hours of Work
- 37.5 hours 4 long days 9.375 hours including weekends, bank holidays and late shifts.
Combination of above shifts equalling 37.5 hours a week.

What you'll be doing
- Deliver safe, effective and high‑quality radiographic examinations across a broad range of techniques
- Work autonomously and collaboratively to manage workload and meet patient needs
- Ensure full compliance with IRMER 2017, IRR 17 and local radiation safety procedures
- Clinically justify imaging referrals and support validation of reports
- Maintain accurate patient identification and data across radiology systems
- Promote excellent patient experience, upholding dignity, privacy and confidentiality
- Support infection prevention and control standards across clinical areas
- Contribute to clinical governance activities including audit, risk management and incident reporting
- Engage in continuous professional development and competency assessments
- Demonstrate safe use of digital radiography in line with ALARP principles
What we’ll look for in you
- BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent)
- HCPC registered radiographer
- Strong understanding of radiation protection legislation and best practice
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
- Excellent communication skills with patients and colleagues
- Commitment to delivering high standards of care and continuous improvement
- Passion for patient experience, safety and clinical excellence
