We are now looking for an experienced Housing Manager to join our Commercial Housing team and play a key role in shaping and transforming our Housing Services function.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Housing, you will lead the operational delivery of high-quality, person-centred housing management services across our supported housing portfolio.
You will manage Housing Officers and Business & Customer Support Officers, ensuring:
• Strong tenancy management and sustainment
• Effective void and lettings management
• High performance in rent, income and arrears management
• Excellent customer service standards
• Full compliance with housing legislation and regulatory expectations
This is both a leadership and transformation role. You'll champion service improvement, drive performance, and foster strong partnerships across internal care and support teams, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee tenancy terminations, voids and re-lets to minimise loss
• Ensure compliant, fair and transparent lettings processes
• Support suitability checks alongside care teams
• Oversee ASB, complaints and complex tenancy issues
• Contribute to strategic void planning
• Ensure proactive arrears management and tenancy sustainment
• Support rent increase processes and ensure accurate data reporting
• Promote early intervention to reduce financial risk
• Lead, coach and develop a team of up to five staff
• Ensure compliance with housing law, internal policies and external standards
• Maintain high standards of data accuracy and record keeping
• Ensure safeguarding issues and risks are appropriately managed
About You
We're looking for someone who combines operational housing expertise with strong leadership and a values-led approach.
You will have:
• A Level 4 Housing Management qualification
• GCSE Maths & English (Grade 5/C or above)
• Experience working within social housing or supported housing
• Proven experience managing staff in a target-driven environment
• Experience working across large geographical areas
• Strong knowledge of tenancy management, income collection and housing systems
• Excellent IT and data analysis skills
• The ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
• Experience handling challenging conversations sensitively and professionally
