About the Role
We are seeking experienced Assembly & Test Technicians to join a leading aerospace engineering team based in Tewkesbury. The role involves the assembly and testing of flight-critical actuators and subcomponents to exceptionally close tolerances, requiring precision, technical skill, and a strong understanding of engineering processes. Working Hours:
* 37 hours per week - Afternoons
* Monday to Thursday: 14:00pm 22:00pm
* Friday: 11:00am 16:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Assemble and test flight-critical actuators and subcomponents with a high degree of accuracy.
* Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and height gauges to inspect components.
* Work from engineering drawings and component maintenance manuals.
* Conduct quality audits and ensure all assembly and test procedures are followed.
* Take responsibility for the release to service of repaired actuators.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Apprentice trained or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Proven experience in an engineering or manufacturing role, ideally within aerospace or other high-precision industries.
* Good understanding of assembly and test manufacturing.
* Competent in reading and following engineering drawings and detailed procedures.
* Experience within an aerospace quality system is advantageous
