The role will begin with Credit Control duties, with a structured path to develop into an Assistant Accountant position. The standard working pattern is 32.5 hours across 4 days, with 1 day per week dedicated to study. However, if preferred, there is flexibility to work full-time hours. As a Credit Controller (progressing to Assistant Accountant), you will be: Managing and allocating incoming cash receipts across the sales ledger Chasing overdue payments and resolving queries via phone and email Issuing invoices and monthly statements to customers in a timely manner Creating and maintaining customer accounts, including running credit checks Developing strong working relationships internally and externally Supporting wider finance tasks as you progress into the Assistant Accountant roleTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have/be: A recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field A self-motivated and organised individual with strong communication skills Eager to study and build a career in finance – full study support is provided Previous experience in a finance-related role (internship, placement, part-time) is a bonus Confident using finance systems – familiarity with NetSuite or Xero is advantageous A team player who values professionalism, loyalty, and growthThis opportunity is easily commutable from Hull, Beverley, Cottingham, Willerby, Hessle, and the surrounding areas.
