About the Gentleman You’ll Support
You’ll be supporting a gentleman in his late 60s who lives at home with his wife.
He’s sociable, enjoys good conversation, and values spending time with friends and family. Music is a big part of his life, and he enjoys listening to a wide range of artists – particularly Snow Patrol. He also enjoys going out for meals and spending relaxed evenings with the people around him.
He has had a varied and interesting career and enjoys sharing stories from his past with those around him.
Following a high-level spinal injury, he now requires full support with his care. Despite the challenges he faces, he remains positive and values carers who treat him with dignity, respect, and kindness.
His family are an important part of his life, and his wife, children and granddaughter regularly visit.
We are looking for carers who will become a trusted and valued part of his care team.

Your Responsibilities
Supporting him overnight with:
10. Personal care
11. Moving and handling (2:1 support)
12. Medication administration
13. Bowel and catheter care
14. Respiratory support including nebuliser, cough assist and NIV
15. Monitoring comfort and wellbeing overnight
Full clinical training and support will be provided where required.
Requirements
16. Minimum 3 months care experience
17. Experience with personal care and moving & handling
18. Female carers (as requested by the client)
19. Drivers preferred (non-drivers may be considered for night roles)
