We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in our care. THIS IS NOT A SPONSORSHIP POSITION
Duties
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Assist with feeding at mealtimes
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
* Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting is beneficial.
* A caring attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for residents.
