Overview
The Security Account Manager will be responsible for the management and growth of one key account and will support the wider team. The role involves creating and implementing strategies with customers, meeting realistic targets, ensuring Service Level Agreements are satisfied and building strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with WJ Security Management teams across all locations, leading the Security team and collaborating with managers from Client and WJ business streams to deliver first‑class Security services.
* Liaise with customers and key contacts regularly to review contract performance and maintain quality standards in line with Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
* Lead, manage and motivate direct reports, including setting goals and targets, conducting performance reviews, appraisals, coaching, training and development planning.
* Ensure appropriate processes for approving and controlling leave, sickness absence and overtime, maintaining shifts, service levels and budgetary implications while remaining compliant with working time regulations.
* Produce weekly reporting data that forecasts operational requirements or upcoming challenges, including mitigation measures in line with client requirements.
* Respond proactively to changes in the external environment, including legislation, technology and trends.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in commercial and operational management, including leadership in the service sector.
* Experience in financial management and budgetary control for scalable resources – Events industry preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
* Commercially aware with strong attention to detail.
* Proven ability to build and maintain working relationships.
* Experience in change management and in resolving issues and conflict.
* Strong initiative and decision‑making to benefit the organisation.
* Valid SIA licence.
