We are seeking a Senior Licensed Engineer (B1) to play a key leadership role within our Base Maintenance operation, supporting the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of aircraft maintenance activities. Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision, certification and delivery of aircraft maintenance tasks, ensuring they are completed in line with regulatory, quality and contractual requirements. You will lead and support teams of Engineers and Technicians, acting as a technical and people leader on shift while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Why AirTanker? What you'll be doing Supervise Certifying Engineers and Technicians, ensuring safe, compliant and effective working practices Certify maintenance and servicing tasks in line with your scope of authorisation Take ownership of technical documentation and aircraft certification accuracy Act as the first point of contact for safety, technical and disciplinary matters on shift Lead discussions with Technical Services and Planning Engineers to resolve issues and meet schedules Support induction, development, mentoring and wellbeing of team members Deputise for the Shift Manager as required, including at deployed locations What you'll bring CAA B1, with C Licence, A330 Type Rating and company authorisation Proven experience certifying aircraft in a base maintenance facility Strong understanding of zonal working structures and resource supervision Experience leading teams, mentoring others and driving performance Ability to manage technical data, documentation and man‑hour recording Experience with structural repair, modification activities and AOG recovery Confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders
