The Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton joins an existing portfolio of award-winning hotels owned by Dominus and managed by Dominus Hospitality. Opening in February 2026 the hotel will join Hiltons prestigious Curio Collection in the UK, a global set of remarkable upper upscale hotels handpicked for their unique character and personality - each one a part of the fabric of the city it calls home.
In the heart of Londons historic financial district, The Derby resonates with charm and sophistication. The name, inspired by the iconic bowler hat affectionately known as a Derby pays homage to the Citys storied banking heritage.
The Derby offers 234 contemporary bedrooms, including 13 suites with panoramic city views. Guests can enjoy modern British dining with a twist at Rycroftes Restaurant, Coffee House and Bar, with options for private dining. The hotel also features boardroom-style meeting spaces for 1020 delegates, fully equipped with the latest technology, all in the heart of Londons Square Mile.

About The Role
We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Manager who will play a key part in positioning our new Curio Collection hotel within the Citys competitive corporate landscape. You will support the Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing in building our corporate client base, developing strong relationships, and driving revenue across key business travel segments. With a proactive, hands-on approach, you will represent the hotel with confidence, help shape our pre-opening commercial strategy, and contribute to the successful launch and long-term performance of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of key corporate accounts across Londons financial and professional sectors.
Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities to drive market share and revenue.
Conduct client meetings, reviews, and presentations to strengthen partnerships and support long-term growth.
Lead negotiations, contracting, and RFP processes to secure profitable business.
Maintain accurate activity logs, pipeline data, and reporting through Hilton systems such as Delphi.
Collaborate closely with Revenue Management on pricing, forecasting, and strategic commercial decisions.
Represent the hotel at sales events, networking functions, and corporate showcases.
Support pre-opening tasks including database creation, collateral development, and launch event preparation.
Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Reservations to optimise conversion and ensure a seamless client experience.
Key Skills
Strong relationship-builder with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Confident representing the hotel to senior clients and corporate stakeholders.
Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and accurate reporting skills.
Commercially minded with proven negotiation and business development abilities.
Target-driven, proactive, and comfortable managing a strong sales pipeline.
Collaborative team player with a positive, solutions-focused approach.
Professional, polished, and brand-conscious, suited to a lifestyle, design-led hotel environment.
Strong understanding of corporate travel buying behaviour and market trends.
Experience with hotel CRM/sales systems (Delphi or similar) desirable.
