Responsibilities
* Join and contribute to a dynamic and busy Medical Team.
* Work closely with Consultants, their juniors, and other team members to support the delivery of high quality patient care.
* Support key performance indicators for each speciality and prioritise own workload accordingly.
* Deal with relevant correspondence, telephone and personal enquiries efficiently and effectively.
* Contribute to projects or duties to ensure excellent service delivery as directed by senior secretaries, line managers or consultants.
* Coordinate duties and tasks remotely when the medical secretary works at various locations across the Health Board.
* Collaborate with the senior medical secretary to instigate or agree on escalation procedures where standards fall below a satisfactory level and to establish new interim key performance indicators.
* Undertake any additional duties and responsibilities to maintain effective service delivery.
* Provide comprehensive secretarial support, including audio‑typing of clinical letters, annotation, medical‑records handling, filing and other administrative tasks.
* Manage workload efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
* Strong attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, using initiative to contribute to the smooth running of a busy area.

* Must maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a high standard of customer care at all times.
* Desirable: ability to speak Welsh; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
