As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the optimal condition and safety of our properties and the happiness of our residents. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in property maintenance, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Responsibilities
* Property Maintenance:
o Execute routine inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs, safety issues, and repairs required.
o Perform maintenance and repair tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, HVAC systems, carpentry, landscaping, painting and general upkeep.
o Address maintenance requests from residents and property management staff promptly and effectively.
* Repair & Troubleshooting:
o Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner, determining the root cause and implementing appropriate solutions.
o Repair or replace faulty components, equipment, or systems to restore functionality.
* Safety & Compliance:
o Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and residents.
o Ensure that all maintenance activities meet regulatory requirements, building codes, and safety standards.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and materials used.
o Communicate maintenance and repair status to supervisors and property management staff.
* Emergency Response:
o Ensure 24/7 response availability when on-call for critical maintenance issues and emergencies.
* Customer Service:
o Interact professionally and courteously with residents, property management staff, and vendors.
o Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a respectful and timely manner.
Requirements
* 3+ years of property maintenance or facilities management experience in residential properties.
* Technical expertise in a broad range of maintenance areas including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general repairs.
* A proven ability to think critically, and execute repairs and solutions without reliance on third-party vendors.
* Detail oriented and highly organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and communicate.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
* Strong understanding of property management operations.
* Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, property managers, and external stakeholders.
* Willingness to embrace the mission and values of the company.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation for emergencies.
* A valid driver\'s license is required.
