ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGERYEOVIL, SOMERSET (FULL TIME HYBRID 2 to 3 days from home per week)UP TO £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + GREAT BENEFITSTHE COMPANY:We're proud to be partnering with a highly successful manufacturing business based in the Yeovil area that is looking to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager to join the business.This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation where you'll play a key role in supporting the Finance Manager and wider business. You'll gain exposure across a broad range of financial and operational areas, while developing your leadership, analytical and technical skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.THE ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER ROLE:Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll support day-to-day finance operations while driving improvements through analysis, reporting and process development.Support and supervise ledger staff, including training, performance management and developmentDeputise for the Finance Manager and collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersAnalyse large datasets to identify trends, provide insight and recommend performance improvementsAssist with month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations, reporting and audit preparationProduce regular and ad-hoc reports, including variance analysis and KPI reportingSupport budgeting and forecasting processes, including cost centre analysisLead continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes, including ERP (SAP) development and implementatioMaintain and enhance financial controls to ensure accurate and timely reportingOversee debtor management, credit control processes and aged debt recoverySupport transactional finance activities and complex reconciliationsAssist with payroll processing, year-end, pension reporting and regulatory complianceSupport preparation of financial statements, audits and management reportingDevelop reporting tools, dashboards and provide insight into risks and opportunitiesAssist with contract analysis, renewals and supplier evaluationsTHE PERSON:ACCA / CIMA / ACA Qualified or Part-Qualified (Finalist) preferredAAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience also consideredExperience in a similar Assistant Finance Manager / Management Accountant / Senior Finance role, ideally within manufacturing or engineeringStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex dataExperience with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and advanced Excel skillsConfident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholdersProven leadership or supervisory experienceStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulationsTO APPLY:Please send your CV for the Assistant Finance Manager via the advert for immediate considerationBy sending an application or applying for a job, you consent to your personal data being processed and stored by Get Recruited (UK) Ltd in accordance with our Cookie & Privacy Policy (available in the footer on our website).
