Job Overview
Marine Dental Practice are looking for a Trainee Dental Nurse to join our team. We are a small and well-established practice, who are looking for the right person who would like to start, or further their career in Dental Nursing. You will need to be either enrolled on a Dental Nursing course, or looking to enroll.
This is a part-time position, with days to be negotiated.
Duties
* Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimal patient comfort.
* Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
* Provide support to patients by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding treatments and procedures.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
* Manage appointment schedules, ensuring efficient use of time for both patients and the dental team.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Help on reception desk when needed to fit in with the practice needs.
Skills
* Proficient in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
* Strong IT skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems.
* Exceptional organisational abilities to maintain an efficient working environment.
* A background in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
* A willingness to learn new skills and demonstrate interest in the field.
We will consider both Apprentices, and self-funded learners for this role. We have a great team who will be happy to guide you along with your learning, and grow in to this role at Marine Dental.
Our opening hours are Monday - Thursday, & Friday Working days are to be negotiated.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
