A small award-winning engineering practice which undertakes a full range of design works for water and wastewater projects throughout Northern Ireland and UK. We also undertake specialist design of highway bridges, complex temporary works and structural piling throughout the UK. The team at MEA Ltd can conduct various Data collection Services for clients. From testing the ground prior to construction to monitoring during construction onto testing the structures after completion; Construction Monitoring, Site Investigation, Traffic Surveys, Topographical Surveys, and Concrete Testing.

Role Description
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Team to work on projects, in the U.K., Ireland and internationally, based in our Head Office in Magherafelt.
The main duties and responsibilities are:
* Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, time, and budget constraints.
* Undertake civil, structural and geotechnical design works for a varied range of projects including wastewater, reservoirs, highway structures.
* Projects will be taken from conceptual stage through to full detailed design / construction.
* Production of reports including structural assessments, contract documents, calculation packages.
* Use various computer software programs which will include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access), AutoCAD, Revit.
* Site visits for inspections or investigation work (e.g. structural surveys, foundation inspections and resolving site queries).
* Compliance with Designer’s responsibilities under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015/2016 (NI).
* Assistance with Principal Designer duties as required.
* Attendance at meetings with team, clients, contractors and statutory bodies, including Technical Approvals as required.
Other duties include:
* Preparation of fee proposals and winning work.
* Accountability for project budget.
* Keeping the QA procedures up-to-date, including electronic versions.
* Process improvement and implementation of new processes.
* Presentations / Marketing to new Clients.
* Identification of key contacts / markets.
* Assistance in the preparation of H&S plans, Risk Assessment.
* Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering Degree.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience.
* Proficient in Robot, Tedds, AutoCAD.
* Working both independently and as part of teams.
* Ability to work to and meet tight deadlines.
* Full driving license.
