Service Charge Coordinator Contract Length: 3 months (with possible extension) Salary: £20.54 PAYE / £27 Umbrella per hour Hours: 37.5 per week Monday to Friday (2 days in the office / 3 days from home) Location: London EC1N Start Date: ASAPWe are looking for a Service Charge Coordinator to join a large housing association, you will provide exceptional front-line customer service and handle all aspects of service charge enquiries. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in service charge, reconciliation within a housing or local authority environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver responsive customer service for all service charge-related enquiries, ensuring alignment with service expectations and performance indicators. Prepare and support documentation for formal challenges, including attending hearings as required. Ensure all processes are effectively carried out in accordance with policies, procedures, and legislation. Address and resolve service failures, complaints, and disputes while initiating and delivering service improvements. Manage and set financial forecasts for service charge activities, liaising with relevant teams to highlight and address variances. Provide expert advice on leasehold and service charge issues to customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. Enhance income recovery by ensuring charges are accurately coded and allocated.Personal Competencies, Skills, Experience, and Knowledge: Strong service charge background within housing or local authority Strong background dealing with reconciliation Proactive, problem-solving attitude with meticulous attention to detail. Coordinated and planned approach to work, addressing issues affecting service charge payers and colleagues. In-depth knowledge of budget management and control measures. Extensive experience and understanding of Service Charges, Housing, and Residential Property Management.
