About the Role My client is looking for an Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the maintenance and upkeep of their commercial property portfolio. The company is a well-established family-owned commercial property business managing approximately 300 commercial units across West Yorkshire including industrial units, warehouses, offices, retail and leisure properties. This is a hands-on role involving regular visits to properties to assess maintenance issues, coordinate contractors and ensure buildings are maintained to a high standard. The position would suit someone with experience in property maintenance, building maintenance or facilities management. Key Responsibilities * Responding to tenant maintenance requests * Visiting properties to assess maintenance issues * Coordinating contractors to carry out repair and maintenance works * Obtaining quotations for maintenance projects * Monitoring vacant properties and identifying maintenance or security issues * Assisting with insurance-related repairs * Liaising with tenants, contractors and internal team members * Supporting preventative maintenance across the portfolio * Ensuring maintenance works are completed to the required standard * Maintaining records of maintenance works and inspections Candidate Requirements * Previous experience in property maintenance, building maintenance or facilities management * Experience coordinating contractors or overseeing maintenance works * Practical understanding of building maintenance issues * Strong organisational and communication skills * Comfortable working across multiple sites * Full UK driving licence Benefits * Salary £28,000 – £32,000 * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Office closure during the Christmas period * Company pension * Opportunity to work within a small supportive team
