We are seeking an organised and proactive Office Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our domiciliary care service. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, supporting care staff, coordinating schedules, and maintaining high standards of communication and compliance.
This is a fast-paced and varied role requiring flexibility, strong IT skills, and previous experience within the care sector.
Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain staff rotas, ensuring care visits are fully covered
* Communicate effectively with care staff, clients, and external professionals
* Handle incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries in a professional manner
* Maintain accurate client and staff records in line with compliance requirements
* Use IT systems (e.g. care planning software, Microsoft Office) daily
* Support recruitment and onboarding processes (DBS checks, training records, etc.)
* Monitor staffing levels and respond to last-minute changes or issues
* Liaise with healthcare professionals and families where required
* Provide general administrative support to the management team
Essential Requirements
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Previous experience in a care setting (domiciliary or similar)
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, email systems, care software)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Flexible approach to working hours and duties
Desirable Skills
* Experience in care coordination or rota management
* Knowledge of CQC compliance and care standards
* Previous administrative or office-based experience
