Come and join our team

We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Food and Fun Assistant to support the Food and Fun Co-ordinator in the development and delivery of the Food and Fun Programme in the school and run the programme for a minimum of 12 days during the summer holidays (Job share may be considered).

You will need to:

* Undertake (where needed) the Nutrition Skills for Life Level 2 Community Food and Nutrition Skills training including a Food and Fun 'Facilitation Day' prior to the delivery of the programme.
* Support the Food and Fun Co-ordinator in the delivery of the 6 Food and Fun Nutritional Skills for Life sessions during the 12 days of the programme.
* Support the Food and Fun Co-ordinator in developing the Timetable of Activities for the 12 days of the Summer Holidays.

We need someone who is able to:

* Communicate effectively with children, parents and professionals
* Adapt flexibly to arising situations.
* Demonstrate a calm and nurturing manner
* Work as part of a team and on own initiative
* Foster a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children.
* Support a whole-school approach to healthy eating

DBS level: An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be requested for this job

Welsh language level - Verbal: Level 5 - You will need to be able to communicate fluently in Welsh. Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
