Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Billing Specialist with expertise in financial analysis, customer service, and dispute resolution to join our dynamic team. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and analyzing invoices, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner via phone and e-mail.
* Address customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within specified time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
* Initiate disputes with carriers on behalf of customers.
* Review and analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of information entered.
* Educate customers on best practices to avoid additional charges.
* Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Must Have:
* Adherence to laws and best practices regarding dealing with customers and data.
* Comfort with handling numbers and processing financial information.
* High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and ER software (JDE or other).
Prefer to Have:
* 1 year of experience as a Billing Specialist.
* Experience in the Freight/Logistics Industry, particularly in LTL or Courier services.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
