Job Overview
The post holder will provide high quality front line administrative support to the lower ground floor incorporating the adult assessment area (AAU), Emergency Department (ED) and same day emergency care (SDEC) areas. This role involves working closely with nurses, medical staff, outpatients and medical records staff to ensure an efficient, high quality and timely service.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide a welcoming and professional service to patients, relatives and external agencies such as London Ambulance, Police, Hatzola and HASS. • Work as part of the Emergency Department team, ensuring effective forward planning and administration to support the delivery of high quality patient care. • Carry out a range of administration processes, including accurate record keeping and coordination with hospital and external services. • Be flexible and work independent shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
Working Conditions
The post involves unpredictable, non‑routine duties and may require dealing with distressing situations on a day‑to‑day basis.
